Before you share files, code, or data with us, here's how we handle them.
01Your files and your code
We work in the Figma files, repositories, and tools you already use, under your own access controls. That means you can see everything we do, and you decide who has access.
We only ask for the access a project needs. When the project ends, we hand everything over, and you can remove our access the same day.
02Personal data and the GDPR
If our work involves personal data you’re responsible for, like data from your product’s users, we sign a data processing agreement with you before we start. We work with real user data only when the project needs it, and we use anonymised or test data whenever we can.
The service providers we use to run the studio are listed in our privacy policy.
03How we use AI
We use AI tools to prototype and build faster. A person on our team reviews everything before it reaches you, and we only put your data into tools you’ve approved.
If you’d rather we didn’t use AI tools on your project at all, tell us at the start and we’ll agree on that in writing.
04Confidentiality and NDAs
We keep your information confidential and only use it for your project. If you need an NDA, send it with your first email and we’ll sign it before you share any files.
05Who owns the work
Once you’ve paid in full, you own the designs, the code, and the documentation we made for you. We’d like to show the project in our portfolio, and if you’d rather we didn’t, we’ll leave it out. The full terms are in our terms of service.
06Regulated products
For medical device software, we work to IEC 62366-1 and the FDA human-factors guidance, and we document our work so it can go into your technical file. Design and conformity decisions, and the submission itself, stay with you as the manufacturer.
07Accessibility of this website
We built fessburn.com to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. If something on the site doesn’t work with your keyboard, screen reader, or other assistive technology, email hello@fessburn.comand we’ll fix it.
