Projects · 10 case studies
Our work for clinical, finance, and AI teams
Each case study covers what the client had, what we learned in research and testing, and what we designed and built for them.
Bayer · Critical careHow we made ARDS risk readable at a glance for ICU clinicians
Bayer was building ICU Angel, a risk-monitoring platform paired with a drug intervention for ARDS. Clinicians and principal investigators needed to follow a patient's progression and medication response without digging through screens. We designed both views and ran moderated prototype testing across the whole workflow before anything was built. Clinicians went from about 30 seconds to less than 5 seconds to spot a critical change, and the platform went into a pilot.
Piloted
Philips · Medical devicesHow we added a new clinical parameter to an ICU patient monitor
Philips needed a new parameter on its bedside monitors. Before any screen was final, we turned the clinical and engineering requirements into 14+ use scenarios, five safety decisions, and uFMEA inputs, so the clinical, risk, and engineering teams could review how the parameter should behave. More than 200 possible use errors went into the uFMEA review, and about 20 participants took part in the formal usability study.
QIAGEN · DiagnosticsHow we ran usability engineering for a high-throughput molecular testing instrument
QIAsymphony automates sample preparation and assay setup in molecular testing labs. We led risk-based UX and usability engineering for those workflows, and delivered five evidence outputs, a formative study plan, and a summative-readiness checklist. The usability evidence went into a regulatory submission that passed.
ORtelligence · Operating roomHow we designed a surgical instrument scanner for the operating room
Surgical teams have to account for every instrument in the operating room. We designed the mobile scanning flows for ORtelligence, so staff could see the count status, the missing items, and the preparation work still to do, including the confirmation and recovery states. Preparation became 75% faster, and overall operation time dropped by 40%.
Euler · DeFiHow we made DeFi risk tiers easier for first-time lenders to understand
New users found Euler's risk tiers and collateral rules hard to follow. We ran 12 interviews and collected 200+ survey responses, then simplified the lending and borrowing flows and tested them in two rounds on desktop and mobile.
Usability tested
Merkle Science · Crypto complianceHow we redesigned crypto compliance and forensic workflows for analysts
Compliance officers and forensic analysts at Merkle Science review wallet risk, transaction behaviour, and suspicious activity. We redesigned those investigation workflows around role-based dashboards, filtering, review, and reporting, and a compliance report that used to take hours or days took less than an hour.
InvoiceRate · FinanceHow we designed and built a KSeF invoicing app that 3,000+ people use
InvoiceRate is our own product. Polish sole traders use it to send invoices, pull their purchase invoices from KSeF, and get their records ready for the accountant, all from their phone. We also had to design the screens for when KSeF rejects an invoice, because when that happens, the person needs to know what went wrong and how to fix it.
Live and in use
AiListz · AI productHow we helped new users get started on an AI content platform
AiListz opened on a blank prompt box, and new users didn't know what to do to start using it. We designed the onboarding, the conversational guidance, and the controls, so people could understand what an AI action would do before they used it. Support requests from first-time users dropped by 90%.
Syndigo · B2B SaaSHow we turned a fragmented design system into one library connected to code
Syndigo's product teams were working from a fragmented enterprise design system. We consolidated more than 400 clashing components into 200, in one governed library, connected design to production code, and set up the workflow around the UI Relay Figma plugin.
Nifty League · Web3 gamingHow we designed the dashboard and player economy for a Web3 gaming platform
Nifty League had to explain wallets, player assets, and credits to crypto-native players and to people who were new to Web3. We led the design of the public pages, the game dashboard, and the credit-system logic. More than 10,000 users used the platform, and Nifty League later announced a $5M seed round.
